FAQs

What electric jeeps are available?

The Jeep Wagoneer S and the Jeep Recon are the currently available fully electric models. Jeep also offers the Wrangler 4xe and Grand Cherokee 4xe, which are plug-in hybrids.

Is the Jeep Wrangler 4XE fully electric?

No, the Wrangler 4XE is a plug-in hybrid (PHEV), not fully electric. It combines a turbocharged gas engine with electric motors to provide roughly 21 miles of electric-only range before switching to hybrid mode.

How far can a Jeep Wagoneer S go on electric only?

The all-electric Wagoneer S has an estimated range of approximately 300 miles on a full charge. In electric-only mode, it can cover this entire distance without using any gasoline.

What is the Jeep EV charging time at home?

Using a standard household outlet (Level 1), a full charge can take over 50 hours. With a professionally installed Level 2 home charger, the time drops significantly to approximately 7 to 9 hours.

Is the federal EV tax credit still available?

The federal tax credits for new and used EV purchases officially expired on September 30, 2025. Currently, you can only claim the credit if your vehicle was placed in service before that cutoff date, though some state-level rebates may still be available.
